The Dive Operators Club of Thailand (DOCT), Phuket Chapter, will be holding their third Thai Divemaster Program in May and June 2003. This program is sponsored by members of the DOCT and is free of charge for the participants. The training provided is worth more than 60.000 THB for each individual student.

Since there is a great shortage of Thai Divemasters in the local diving industry it is the DOCT’s intention to involve more Thais in this large and growing tourism activity.

Thai DM Program

The following criteria will apply to all applicants:

Applicant must be 21 yrs of age or older.
Must have High school education as a minimum.
Must be able to complete a swim test.
Must be able to speak English.
Must have a current health fitness certificate from their doctor.
Must be able to train on a full time basis ONLY.

Applications must be received by no later than 25th of March 2003.

Interviews will then be held on 5th April 03, and DM training will start on 1st May 03 and will last 2 months.
