Earth Day Clean up 2004

The Dive Operators Club of Thailand's Annual "Earth Day, Racha Islands Clean-up" - this will be the fourth year that we are doing this underwater and beach clean-up with the support of the "P.A.D.I. Project Aware Foundation."


The contest and clean-up will be open to all divers and non divers who would like to participate in this Project Aware Foundation "Earth Day" environmental event. Participants must be available at the Chalong Tourism Pier to confirm their advance on line registration and then depart to Racha Noi and Racha Yai Islands at 9:00 AM on the September 2004. The registration fee of 500 Thai Baht will include the boat transportation, one tank dive, lite breakfast, special event T-shirt, P.A.D.I. Project Aware participation certificate and the awards and prize presentation lunch. Any and all proceeds and donations will be used for our planned artificial reef and wreck projects in an effort to create more tourist attractions in the Phuket area.

Registered Participants

Since this is primarily a clean up participants will have to turn in a minimum of one kilo of collected garbage in order to be issued a certificate. We are planning to include one dive only and will return in the early afternoon to Phuket. We will also issue the certifications to our completed D.O.C.T. 2004 Divemaster program students.

Due to the maximum amount of participants we strongly recommend that all interested person’s book online in advance to guarantee your participation.
